The two most important things to me are your health, and our reputation. In reality these two things are linked together. If our patients do not get results, it is not good for our reputation or for chiropractic. We have built our practice on getting good results. It is very important that each and every patient we care for has the greatest chance for the best results.
Chiropractic has a long and proven record of helping people. But the cornerstone to getting consistently good results is cooperation between the chiropractor and the patient. Keeping your schedule of appointments is the responsibility of the patient. The largest cause of poor results is failure to follow the recommended treatment schedule.
The chiropractor makes adjustments to the spine to remove nerve interference caused by subluxations. Subluxations are areas of interference to the nervous system caused by pressure or irritation from misaligned spinal bones. In order to correct subluxations a sufficient amount of time is needed to make the changes to spinal structures.
When someone with crooked teeth gets braces they may wear those braces continually for a year or more. In chiropractic, we don't put braces on each spinal bone to pull them into proper alignment. Changing spinal structures requires a series of adjustments to make the proper correction. The treatment schedule that your chirpractor recommends is specifically designed for each individual patient.
If your results are as important to you as they are to us, please make every effort to follow your treatment schedule. Missing appointments interrupts your treatment schedule and greatly reduces the likelihood of getting good results.
Missing visits will slow, and may even stop, your progress. Getting the care you need to correct your subluxations is essential. After all, our reputation, and your good health depends on it!
